Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar doesn’t need any reason behind being known as the ‘god of cricket’. Tendulkar who served for the Indian cricket team for almost 24 years and slammed 100 international centuries, got involved in a heartwarming exchange with his fan, named Harish Kumar on the streets of Mumbai. Tendulkar uploaded the video of the interaction on his official ‘X’ handle.

Sachin Tendulkar was going to the airport and during the same, he found a person wearing his Mumbai Indians jersey with ‘Tendulkar’, written on his back. Tendulkar stopped the car and asked him the way to go to the airport. However, the fan folded his hands and said he witnessed ‘god’ today. Sachin also lauded that the fan was driving with a helmet and also asked him to turn around and look at his jersey.

During the interaction, Sachin asked his fan, “How to go to the airport? I saw your T-shirt, that’s why we stopped you. How are you.” The fan thanked god for making him meet Tendulkar. The fan also showcased his tattoo to Sachin. Showing the tattoo, the fan asked Sachin, “Do you remember this”, replying to him, Sachin said, “Yes.”

The fan also showed the photos of his family members to Sachin Tendulkar. Towards the end, his fan Harish Kumar, asked for Sachin’s autograph, which was recorded by him on his phone.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote in the caption, Sachin meets TENDULKAR. It fills my heart with joy when I see so much love showered on me. It is the love from the people that keeps coming from unexpected corners which makes life so special.”

Sachin Tendulkar shares heartfelt moments with fan

Sachin Tendulkar recently returned to cricketing action during the ‘One World vs One Family’ charity match in Bengaluru. Sachin was joined by many big names such as Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Muttiah Muralitharan and many more. Sachin was able to pick one wicket and scored 27 runs from 16 balls with the bat. The motive was the match was to collect funds for the child’s healthcare.

Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket in November 2013. Tendulkar played the final match of his career at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against West Indies and achieved a score of 74 runs in his last Test innings. Tendulkar has achieved many big records in the world and has scored over 30000 international runs. Out of these, more than 18000 runs have been scored in the Test format.

Sachin Tendulkar also holds the record for playing the most ODI World Cups and is also the top run scorer of the tournament. Tendulkar has scored 2278 runs from 45 matches and has slammed 6 hundreds. Tendulkar also held the record for most ODI hundreds, which was broken by Virat Kohli in the recently concluded ODI World Cup. Kohli is the biggest contender to match Sachin’s record of 100 international centuries.

Virat Kohli has scored a total of 80 centuries in international and looking at his fitness and form, he may not take much time to register Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘once in a lifetime’ record.
