Young Tamil Nadu batter Sai Sudharsan was handed India debut cap in the T20I format ahead of the second T20I against the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams will be taking place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Sunday (7th July).
In what is the dream come true moment for Sai Sudharsan, he will be playing his first T20I for India. The batter got the debut cap from the captain Shubman Gill and looked delighted. Last year, he made his debut for the team in the ODIs against South Africa.
Here's the video of Sai Sudharsan getting debut cap from Shubman Gill:

Sai Sudharsan was included in the team in place of Khaleel Ahmed. The India National Cricket Team went in with an extra batter in the XI and it will be a massive opportunity for the Gujarat Titans batter to seal his place in the T20Is and make an immediate impact for the team.
Speaking at the toss, Shubman Gill revealed about the change and stated: "Going to bat first, same wicket like yesterday. Best opportunity for us to bat. Looks dry, it's a nice sunny day. Need to improve our batting, Sudharsan comes in for Khaleel."
Sai Sudharsan becomes the fourth debutant for India in the ongoing series against Zimbabwe National Cricket Team. In the first match, India handed debuts to Dhruv Jurel, Abhishek Sharma, and Riyan Parag but both the batters couldn't make an impact in their maiden outing in the Indian colours.
Abhishek Sharma bagged a four-ball duck while Riyan Parag scored just 2 runs. It was overall a poor performance with the bat for the India National Cricket Team as they lost the game. The Shubman Gill-led side failed to chase the target of 116 runs and lost by 13 runs.
However, the second game against Zimbabwe will be a great opportunity for them to make a comeback. Debutants of the last game along with Sai Sudharsan would want to help the team win and level the series 1-1 after having a torrid outing in the first game.
Here's the playing 11 of India and Zimbabwe:
Zimbabwe (Playing XI): Wessly Madhevere, Innocent Kaia, Brian Bennett, Sikandar Raza(c), Dion Myers, Johnathan Campbell, Clive Madande(w), Wellington Masakadza, Luke Jongwe, Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara
India (Playing XI): Shubman Gill(c), Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sai Sudharsan, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel(w), Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar
Sai Sudharsan was included in the team as a replacement for World Cup winners
Originally, Sai Sudharsan wasn't part of the Indian squad for the Zimbabwe series. He was included in the team as a replacement for Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubm along with Harshit Rana and Jitesh Sharma in the team. The left-hander came from England as he was all set to play in County Cricket.
Sai Sudharsan has been rewarded for his sensational performances in the domestic setup as well the as IPL. Since the last few years, he has been one of the most consistent batters in the Indian domestic cricket. With World Cup winners all set to return for the third game, he would be keen to make a huge impact and make things hard for team management.
