Konstas set the stage on fire in his maiden game in the Big Bash League (BBL) as he came up with a staggering effort with the bat. The opening batter, in the case of 183 runs, took his team off to a flying start with the bat despite losing wickets at the other end.

Sydney Thunder lost skipper David Warner and Cameron Bancroft early on in the chase and it seemed that the team would be on the backfoot. However, the young batter looked unfazed by the wickets falling at the other end as he soaked in all the pressure and kept smacking the bowlers.

Konstas seemed to be batting on a different track as he hit bowlers all over the park and put the Adelaide Strikers under massive pressure. He hit the ball cleanly and impressed many with his brutal power-hitting, living up to the reputation.

The ball hit him straight on the pads as was trapped in lbw. The batter, however, got a great ovation as he walked off after a great innings. His knock took Sydney Thunder off to a flyer as he made a massive impact in the match.

Sam Konstas ended with an inning of 56 runs off 27 balls. He batted with a strike rate of around 220 and also hit 8 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. He would be keen to carry on the confidence going ahead into the Big Bash League.
