Vaibhav Suryavanshi hits a brilliant fifty against CSK
Opening the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryavanshi showcased a different batting approach this time as he was a little cautious and didn't play ultra-aggressive cricket.
He was involved in a 37-run opening stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal in which he contributed only one run in three balls. After losing his opening partner, Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued batting with his new approach, but he made sure to punish the bad balls.
He built a stunning 98-run stand with skipper Sanju Samson that put Chennai Super Kings on the back foot. During this partnership, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also reached the half-century milestone with a maximum.
On the fifth ball of the 12th over, spinner Noor Ahmad overstepped and Vaibhav Suryavanshi got the opportunity to play a free-hit delivery. He made the most of it and launched a good-length ball from the left-arm wrist-spinner into the stands.
He hit the six with a brilliant pull shot, and with that, he completed a 27-ball fifty. He celebrated the milestone in style as he was seen saluting the dugout and acknowledging their applause.
Sanju Samson was also delighted with the way the young batsman batted, and he was also seen saluting the 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

I got a lot of starts, I failed to convert most of them - Riyan Parag
Speaking ahead of the match in a video shared on IPL's website, Rajasthan Royals star Riyan Parag stated that they lost some really close matches, which hurt them, and expressed disappointment over his batting performance. Riyan Parag said:
"There were 4 or 5 close games. If they went in our favour, we'd be in a very different position now but that's how the IPL is. We've made errors and we've paid the price. [On his own runs] I got a lot of starts, I failed to convert most of them. If I did convert at least 50% of the starts, I think I could have put my team in a different position. I like being very hard on myself. Today if I get the opportunity, I will try to finish it."
Riyan Parag further said that they are aware of the things they need to do to bounce back strong in the next season of the Indian Premier League. He said:
"We have not openly spoken about it but it's always at the back of our minds that what can we do differently, what are the changes that we can make and come again next year with a fresh mindset as a better team but we are focused at today's game.
"The reschedule helped us a little bit as batters but we got to be clinical on this smaller ground. Last year we fell short while chasing. The conditions are little bit in our favour [Message for the fans] We've tried to put on a show. Chennai has done the same. We have just not been able to convert successes. We have already seen a lot of fans come in. We will put up a good show."
