Only a couple of days after their fight, a new video surfaced of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saud Shakeel during the practice match between Pakistan and PM XI. Pakistan are currently playing a four-day warm-up game against the Australian Prime Minister’s XI to prepare for the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia. The match is taking place in Canberra.
The much-awaited Test series is scheduled to get underway on December 14 in Perth. Pakistan will start a new journey in Tests from the upcoming series as they will play their first series under new captain Shan Masood. The left-handed batsman was appointed the Test captain following Babar Azam’s resignation as captain in all three formats after Pakistan’s poor show in the World Cup last month.
Pakistan have a terrible record in Tests in Australia. They have not won a Test in Australia this century. In their last five visits to Australia, they have been whitewashed on all the occasions. The visitors will be desperately hoping that a new captain changes their fortunes and they perform well in the forthcoming series.
Sarfaraz Ahmed calls Saud Shakeel Chhota Don:
Saud Shakeel has brilliantly started his tour of Australia. In the ongoing warm-up game, the Pakistan captain scored a brilliant unbeaten double-century. He scored 201 before Pakistan declared their innings on 391 for 9. Apart from him, no other player could score even a half-century in the first innings. In reply, the PM XI were on 149 for 2 at stumps on day 2.
Cameron Bancroft and Marcus Harris gave their team a solid start by adding 96 runs for the first wicket before the latter departed for 49. Bancroft was the next to depart after scoring 53. Matt Renshaw and Cameron Green then shared an unbeaten stand of 37 runs.
As Pakistan were struggling to break the opening partnership between Bancroft and Harris, their former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed decided to lighten up the mood by calling Saud Shakeel ‘Chhota Don’. ‘Chhota Don’ is a popular character from the Bollywood film ‘Partner’ and was portrayed by comedian Rajpal Yadav.
