Watch: Sarfaraz Khan humiliates Akash Deep by hitting five consecutive boundaries

India National Cricket Team batter Sarfaraz Khan played a brutal innings in the ongoing game between India A and India B in the Duleep Trophy 2024. The game between the two teams in the domestic tournament is underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sarfaraz Khan didn't have a great outing with the bat for India B in the first innings, but he made sure that he came up with a brutal batting effort in the second innings. The right-hander came to bat after his team lost early wickets and was under pressure.

Sarfaraz Khan looked unfazed by the pressure as he took attack to the India A bowlers and slammed them all over the park. He, along with Rishabh Pant, took the game away from the opposition and brought his team back into the game, having lost three quick wickets.

Sarfaraz's best came in the over of Akash Deep as he humiliated the fast bowler with his magnificent fast bowling. The India National Cricket Team batter slammed the best bowler of the opposition for five consecutive boundaries in the first over after tea and put his team on top.

Sarfaraz left the first ball of the over alone but made an impact on the second on the ball. The pacer bowled a back of a length and well wide of off, to which the batter rode on the bounce. He used Akash Deep's pace and played it wide of the gully for a boundary.

On the third ball, Akash Deep bowled a delivery on a good length and well wide of off. Sarfaraz leaned into the drive and placed it into the gap past cover for a second consecutive boundary.

On the 4th ball, Akash Deep bowled an inswinger that swung into the pads. But Sarfaraz Khan flicked past square leg for a boundary to complete a hat trick of boundaries and put the fast bowler under immense pressure in the second innings.

Sarfaraz didn't stop there as on the fifth ball he came up with another glorious shot. The fast bowler bowled an overpitched ball just outside off. The batter leaned into the off-drive, presented the full face of the bat, and slammed it straight off mid-off.

On the last ball of the over, Sarfaraz made sure that he finished it on high. The pacer bowled a short of a length and well wide of off. The batter got on top of the bounce and then cracked it square past point to hit five boundaries off the five balls.

After that Sarfaraz continued playing with the same approach as he hit the ball in all parts of the ground. He ended with an innings of 46 runs off 36 balls and also slammed 7 fours and 1 six, batting with a strike rate of around 128. He also added quickfire 72 runs with Rishabh Pant (61).
