Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Saud Shakeel and Saim Ayub came up with a bizarre effort on the field during the ongoing second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The second game of the two-match Test series between the teams is taking place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan didn't have a great outing with the bat as they got all out for just 274 runs. However, the salt on the wound was applied when they had a poor start with the ball as well as they dropped the catch on the first ball of the Bangladesh innings. The culprit behind that was none other than vice-captain Saud Shakeel.

On the first ball, Mir Hamza bowled a top-class delivery to Shadman Islam. It was on the length angling to off and shaped away late. The Bangladesh National Cricket Team batter got squared up as the ball caught the outside edge and flew towards the gully, where Saud Shakeel was stationed.

Saud Shakeel reacted quickly and it seemed that he would take an easy catch. He attempted to gobble it but couldn't take it and Saim Ayub standing next to him also failed to grab the catch. The Pakistan National Cricket Team gave a reprieve to Shadman Islam. Had the catch been taken, it would've been a dream start for the hosts.

He slammed 141 runs, but his effort went in vain as the team lost the game.

Coming to the second Test between the Pakistan National Cricket Team and the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, the visitors are in the driving seat. The hosts were asked to bat first and they had the worst possible start to the innings as they lost Abdullah Shafique for a duck
