Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Shadab Khan didn't have the kind of outing he would've wanted in the first innings of the ongoing third T20I against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The match between the teams is taking place at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday (21st March).
Pakistan opted to field first in the third game and it wasn't a great outing for them with the ball. The Salman Agha-led side couldn't put pressure on the batters, and also fielders didn't help much as the team looked sloppy on the field, with one of the worst efforts coming from Shadab Khan.
On the 5th ball of the 5th over, Haris Rauf bowled a delivery to Mark Champman. The batter checked his drive and played it towards the mid-off, where Shadab Khan was stationed. The Pakistan all-rounder got up early and allowed the ball to escape past him and the ball raced away to the boundary.

Shadab Khan returns with the figures of 1/33 in third NZ vs PAK T20I
Shadab Khan bowled 4 overs in the game and ended up giving 33 runs. The all-rounder also removed Daryl Mitchell for 17 runs to help his team take wickets in the middle. Along with him, others contributed as well but they couldn't restrict the run flow.
Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers as he bowled four overs and ended up with the figures of 3/29. Shaheen Afridi and Abbas Afridi also bagged two scalps each. But they couldn't manage to stop Mark Chapman, who continued his golden touch against Pakistan.
Mark Chapman played a brutal innings of 94 runs off 44 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 213 and also slammed 11 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Michael Bracewell (31), in the end, supported him well as New Zealand posted a massive total of 204 runs.
Pakistan have lost two back-to-back games in the ongoing T20I series. They would be keen to chase the target and stay alive in the series. Shadab Khan will also be key for his team with the bat as the team looks to make a comeback in the series.
It was one of those where you can take a couple of balls to get going - Mark Chapman
Mark Chapman talked about his innings, saying that the pitch was good to bat on and he would like to use more method than madness. He talked about his record against Pakistan, saying that everyone in the team has performed well.
"It was one of those where you can take a couple of balls to get going. I am not one of the biggest guys and I would like to use more method than madness. We play them the most out of anyone, I am not the only one with a good record against Pakistan. We have had two really good bowling performances, 200 is a good total and we back our bowlers to defend it," he said.
