The explosive Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Shashank Singh stunned the team co-owner Preity Zinta with a remarkable out-of-the-ground six in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The high-octane IPL 2025 match between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is currently underway at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday, May 4.
Shashank Singh shines with the bat
The middle-order batter Shashank Singh has repaid the faith of the Punjab Kings after being retained by the franchise by playing impactful knocks while batting down the order.
In the Indian Premier League 2025, Shashank Singh has looked in terrific touch and played a key role in the dominant run of the Punjab Kings in the ongoing season.
He continued his good form by playing an explosive knock against LSG to push his team's total to 236/5. He slammed 33 runs off 15 balls, with 4 fours and 1 six, and built two crucial partnerships with Prabhsimran Singh and Marcus Stoinis.
The sole six hit by Shashank Singh was one of the most impressive sixes of the season as he dispatched Mayank Yadav out of the park. On the fourth ball of the 17th over, Mayank Yadav bowled a back-of-a-length delivery down the leg to Shashank Singh, who hit it over deep backward square-leg for a six.
The ball hit the roof of a building and went out of the stadium. Looking at this maximum, PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta was left awestruck as she went 'Ohhhhh.'

Well, this year their team is looking different - Piyush Chawla hails PBKS
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the match, the veteran leg-spinner Piyush Chawla said that the Punjab Kings have all the bases covered in their team, with the uncapped batters and skipper Shreyas Iyer performing brilliantly. He said:
"Well, this year their team is looking different. If you see, they have covered all the bases in the auction and that's what you can see in the points table as well. They have good uncapped Indian openers who are actually travelling the best of the bowling attacks in this competition. Then, settled captain, who's getting runs away from home.
"And now it's like away from home because it's not going to be Mullanpur. And solid middle order. And fast bowler, if you see, Ashdeep has done a decent job for them.
"Then you have Marco Jansen who can contribute with the bat. And I would like to see maybe Bartlett coming in, in Dharamsala because when you go to Dharamsala there is some help for the faster bowlers. And especially when you'll be playing the first game of the season, their fresh wicket. It's not going to help the spinners that much."
Also, Piyush Chawla backed the Punjab Kings to easily beat the Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamsala. He stated:
"Well, I'm backing Punjab here, because batting-wise, if you see both the teams, as Danny mentioned, the top three are heavy, both the sides. But whosoever will have better bowling, will end up winning this game. And looking at the current form of the bowlers, I'll go with Punjab."
