Shivam Dube, who was the Player of the Series in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, has carried his form in the red-ball as he scored his third first-class century for Mumbai against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. He came out to bat when Mumbai was 67/5 and played a wonderful knock alongside Shams Mulani to take Mumbai past the 230 mark. Dube has been in red-hot form in recent times.

Shivam Dube completed his century in 110 balls and maintained a good strike rate during his innings. He took his team out of trouble and now Mumbai has a lead of over 100 runs against Uttar Pradesh in the first-class encounter. Shivam Dube recently showed the world his prowess against Afghanistan as he smashed consecutive half-centuries in the first two encounters against Afghanistan in the three-match series.

Shivam Dube is one of the contenders to be in the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to commence on June 1 and will be hosted jointly by the West Indies and the United States of America (USA). If everything goes right for the batting all-rounder in the IPL 2024, then he can be included in the T20 World Cup in the US and the Caribbean Islands.

Shivam Dube smashed his third first-class century against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy and it came in just 110 balls when Mumbai was struggling at 67/5. Mumbai is at the top of the Elite Group B winning three matches out of three. Uttar Pradesh is fifth as they have drawn all the three games they have played in the competition. Dube was delighted after he reached his century against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy.

He also has taken 47 wickets in 30 innings with the ball and boasts an average of 21.61 with two fifers to his name in domestic red-ball cricket. He is yet to make his debut for India in the red-ball format.

Shivam Dube is one of the important players for the Chennai Super Kings and will have to perform well in the upcoming IPL season as it could determine whether he will be in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup or not. The T20 World Cup is scheduled right after the IPL in June and will be hosted jointly by the West Indies and the USA.

India has been placed in Group A which comprises Ireland, Pakistan, USA, and Canada. They will then face the host USA at the same venue and will move to Florida to face Canada.
