India National Cricket Team T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav did a Rohit Sharma at the toss as he suffered a major brainfade on Friday, September 19.

There have been several incidents over the years where Rohit misplaced items like his phone, wallet, iPad, and even essential things like his passport. Also, the legendary skipper several times forgot the team changes, and a couple of times, he even forgot the toss decision - most famously during the match against New Zealand, where he took a long pause before informing his decision.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav turned into Rohit Sharma during the 12th match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

After winning the toss, Suryakumar Yadav opted to bat first in the match, and this decision by the India captain received massive cheers from the crowd.

However, Suryakumar Yadav was part of an embarrassing yet hilarious moment at the toss as he was unable to give a proper answer when Ravi Shastri asked about the team changes.

The Indian skipper confirmed that they made two changes, with Harshit Rana coming back in, but was unable to name the other player who made it to the playing XI. He tried very hard and even glanced behind Ravi Shastri to recall the name, but was unable to do that and said that he had become like Rohit Sharma.

"Harshit Rana comes in and one more change, I've become like Rohit. [forgetting the other change]," Suryakumar Yadav said.

Notably, India rested Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy for the match against Oman and replaced them with Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.

Explaining the toss decision, Suryakumar said that they want batters to get some game time ahead of the Super Fours. He said:

"We are looking to bat first. That's what the crowd wants. We haven't done it before in the tournament so we need to know our depth. It's a good call to make as everyone needs game time before Super 4."

Suryakumar Yadav added that they want to continue playing the way that has brought them success and labelled the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi as one of his favorites. He said:

"We just want to continue with all our good habits since our last 2 games. One of our favorite games, lovely crowd. We want to entertain them. Only our openers will let us know how the surface actually is."

Meanwhile, Oman skipper Jatinder Singh also forgot the changes they made to the team at the toss.
