Once again, India proved their supremacy over Pakistan by clinching their ninth Asia Cup title. However, Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian skipper, refused to accept the trophy from ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi, leading to a landmark humiliation in the history of the sport.
India played against Pakistan in an Asia Cup final for the first time in the history of the tournament. India went on to win the continental championship for the 9th time; however, their antics surprised all.
Abhishek Sharma, the dynamic batter, was India's most dominating performer in the Asia Cup, while Kuldeep Yadav, who returned to the Indian T20I side, outperformed all to emerge as the highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup.

Another India vs Pakistan contest ended in favour of the Indian side, and this time it's the Final of the Asia Cup 2025. Tilak Varma demolished the Pakistan bowling deck alongside Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube.
Suryakumar Yadav and the Indian management refused to accept the trophy from the ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi, who currently also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board. The presentation concluded with Naqvi leaving the dais and taking the Asia Cup trophy alongside him.
"I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) that the Indian cricket team will not be collecting their awards tonight. So that does conclude the post-match presentation," confirmed Simon Doull, the presenter for the host broadcaster.

Despite the intense drama surrounding the presentation, the Indian players did not hold back from humiliating the Pakistani chief with their unique celebrations. A clip that took over the internet found Suryakumar Yadav and his teammates lifting an imaginary trophy.
The skipper also mimicked Rohit Sharma's famous slow walking celebration before letting out a loud roar, and they leapt into the air with no trophy in hand.

India crushed Pakistan with a 3-0 scoreline in the Asia Cup
India played Pakistan three times in the history of the Asia Cup: they played in the first group-stage game, then in the Super-4 stages, and finally in the Title decider of the Asia Cup 2025. On all three occasions, India went on to defeat Pakistan.
However, the three matches found three heroes rising to glory. Kuldeep Yadav in the first game, Abhishek Sharma in the second, and now Tilak Varma with a splendid knock in the final of the continental championship.
"If you tell me about trophies, my trophies are sitting in the dressing room, all the 14 guys with me, the support staff, those are the real trophies throughout this journey in the Asia Cup," Suryakumar Yadav's priceless remark on the Indian players.
