A bizarre drama broke out during the third and final ODI match between the West Indies and England as Alzarri Joseph stormed off the field following an on-field disagreement with his captain Shai Hope at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The unexpected incident unfolded at the start of the final ODI at Kensington Oval, leaving fans and players confused. Alzarri Joseph expressed his frustration early in the innings when England was at 10/1.
He was visibly annoyed about the field placement after his first ball of the fourth over. The West Indies fast-bowler seemed frustrated, gesturing toward the slips, as he was clearly dissatisfied with the field placement by the captain, Shai Hope.

Despite the tension, Alzarri Joseph continued his spell and soon struck with a fiery 148.2 kph short ball that dismissed England’s Jordan Cox, who sent the delivery to the wicketkeeper and captain Shai Hope.
Right after dismissing Jordan Cox, Joseph shocked one and all by walking straight off the field without a word to Hope and even without celebrating the crucial wicket during the third and final ODI.
Joseph said something on the field to his Caribbean teammates in anger and walked out of the field muttering and angrily. He then saw him sitting in the dressing room, where he looked furious.
However, West Indies coach Darren Sammy tried to calm Alzarri Joseph just outside the boundary, but the fiery pacer remained resolute and sat alone in the dugout, leaving the crowd and players in suspense about what had happened on the ground.

Fortunately, Joseph returned later to bowl in the 12th over, but the brief walk-off left fans wondering about the tension within the West Indies cricket team. The incident sparked speculations about what had truly unfolded between Joseph and Hope in those heated moments.
Jordan Cox and Dan Mousley become victims of Alzarri Joseph's fury
Notably, Joseph fired in a blistering short ball at 148.2 kph that was just too much for Jordan Cox to handle. The Joseph delivery, aimed around off-stump, reared up unexpectedly, forcing Cox into a defensive move.
The ball glanced off his glove and flew straight to Shai Hope’s gloves behind the stumps. Joseph was still upset despite taking the wicket as Cox walked back after scoring just one run from six balls.
Joseph struck again in the 47th over, dismissing Dan Mousley, who was caught by Evin Lewis at deep midwicket. Mousley attempted to create some room by backing away early, but Joseph followed him with a full delivery.
With limited space, Mousley tossed the ball off the inner half, sending it towards deep mid-wicket, where Lewis took a solid reverse cupped catch to end the Englishman’s promising innings of 57 off 70 balls studded with 5 fours and 1 six in Barbados.
Later, the West Indies chased down the target easily in just 43 overs with eight wickets in hand, thanks to the Brendon Kings and Keacy Carty’s stunning centuries against England. With this remarkable win, the West Indies clinched the home ODI series with a 2-1 margin against England.
