SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) aggressive Travis Head provided a flying start to his team against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The left-handed batter hit a 105-meter six off Jofra Archer’s bowling, leaving the dressing room and owner Kavya Maran erupting in joy.
Rajasthan Royals skipper and all-rounder Riyan Parag opted to field after winning the toss at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, March 23. It was the only positive moment for the Jaipur-based franchise as the SunRisers openers took the bowlers to the cleaners during the powerplay.

Rajasthan Royals Without Regular Skipper Sanju Samson
Rajasthan Royals are without their regular skipper Sanju Samson on the field for this match, but will feature as an impact substitute. The franchise retained Samson as a top-order batter. He has been a key player for India in T20Is. The batter opened alongside Abhishek Sharma and scored three centuries.
Samson sustained a hand injury during the final T20I against England earlier this year. He was forced him to undergo surgery. While he has recovered enough to bat, his wicketkeeping fitness remains uncertain, leading to his exclusion from the starting XI. Parag will captain the team for the first three matches.
