Trent Boult, on Monday (April 7), once again showed why he is regarded as one of the best new-ball bowlers of this generation as he gave Mumbai Indians a solid start with the ball in their ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium.
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to ball first. With in-form Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opening the innings for RCB, Trent Boult had his task cut out. The onus was on the veteran New Zealand start to give his team a good start with the ball and he did not disappoint.
The match did not start on a good note for Trent Boult as Salt hit the first ball of the innings for a cracking four. However, the MI pacer had the last laugh as he struck on the very following delivery to send back Salt.

It was a trademark Trent Boult delivery that was full and swung in at the last moment. Salt wanted to work the ball on the leg side but paid a big price for playing across the line. He could not make any connection as the ball went on to crash into the stumps.
