India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma yet again brought out his masterclass on the stump mic during the ongoing first ODI against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The series opener between the teams is underway at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

India have been asked to field first and they have done a great job with the ball in the ongoing game so far. Fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh began the proceedings on high before spinners did the damage for the team.

Captain Rohit Sharma has been brilliant as the captain of the team and has managed his bowlers quite well. The opening batter has ensured that with his bowling changes, he keeps the pressure high on the opposition. Apart from this, he was also at his hilarious best which was caught by a stump mic.

During the 4th ball of the 14th over, Shivam Dube bowled a wide delivery down the leg side. The ball was angled down the leg to which Pathum Nissanka missed the glance and the ball flicked the thigh pad on the way. The bowler was convinced that the batter had nicked it and keeper KL Rahul behind the stumps appealed to.

Skipper Rohit Sharma was seen having a chat with KL Rahul but the duo decided against the review. Shreyas Iyer, who was standing right there, was confident about the edge. But Rohit was heard saying to both "Tum logo ko woh bolna chaiye, bat dur hai ya pad dur hai ki nhi, bat agar dur hai toh vo 100% bol ra hai aawaz aaya."

Replying to this, KL Rahul came up with: "IPL mai wide bach jaata hai na, issi liye bol raha hai wo."

India all over Sri Lanka with the ball

India National Cricket Team bowlers have been all over the Sri Lanka batters. Mohammed Siraj drew the first blood for his team as he removed Avishka Fernando early on and after that, Shivam Dube removed Kusal Mendis to take his first international wicket.

The introduction of spinners changed things completely for the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The likes of Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel have bowled tight lines and lengths and have troubled the batters big time as the wicket has offered turn and bounce.

For Sri Lanka, Pathum Nissanka was the lone warrior as he batted brilliantly and made sure he held the one end. The opening batter slammed a sensational half-century to help his team go past 100 runs. But he couldn't carry on as he perished after scoring 56.

India have reduced Sri Lanka to 101/5 and they would be hoping to end the innings as soon as possible and then chase the target to go 1-0 up in the series. The Men in Blue have already sealed the T20I series by 3-0 and would want to follow the same result in ODIs as well.
