Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been at his absolute best with the ball as well as on the field in the ongoing game against Ireland. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
Shaheen Afridi has oozed his class with the ball in the ongoing game. He made a mockery of the top of the order of the Ireland cricket team as he was at his best with the new ball and put the opposition on the back foot with his bowling.
While his bowling has been sensational, Shaheen Afridi also came up with a magnificent fielding effort to remove Ireland batter Mark Adair. Even though he was involved in a nasty collision with Usman Khan, the pacer went on to take the catch and remove the batter.
During the 3rd ball of the 14th over, Imad Wasim bowled a fullish ball on off and Mark Adair looked to clobber it over cow corner. He got height than distance and Shaheen Afridi from long-on and Usman Khan from deep mid-wicket came running to take the catch.
Both Shaheen Afridi and Usman Khan converged as there was no call from both the fielders. Even though there was a collision, Shaheen Afridi managed to take a catch in a reverse-cup manner to send the batter packing at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.

Mark Adair scored 15 runs off 19 balls and also slammed two boundaries in his innings. This was Imad Wasim's second wicket in the day as he then ended with the figures of 3/8 in four overs that he bowled in the game at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
Shaheen Afridi was also the pick of the bowlers for the Pakistan team. The left-arm pacer picked three wickets and was sensational with the ball throughout. The fast bowler returned with the figures of 3/22 and made sure that he ended the tournament on high.
Apart from Imad Wasim and Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir was also among the wickets. The veteran pacer picked two wickets while Haris Rauf bagged one. Based on the collective effort with the ball, Pakistan restricted Ireland to a total of 106 runs
I am always trying to strike early on - Shaheen Afridi
Shaheen Afridi talked about his performance with the ball in the ongoing game against Ireland, saying that he always tries to make an impact with a new ball. He admitted that picking wickets early puts the opposition under pressure and claimed that the chase might be tricky for his team. He stated:
"I am always trying to strike early on. I was trying to bowl fuller and the inswinger. We thought the appeals were close. If you pick wickets in the first few overs, the opposition is under pressure. The new ball might be tricky," he concluded.
