Vipraj Nigam has impressed one and all with his spectacular efforts during the 10th IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 30.
Mohit Sharma managed to end Heinrich Klaasen’s blistering 77-run partnership with Aniket Verma for the sixth wicket, thanks to a stunning catch by Vipraj Nigam in Visakhapatnam. Mohit delivered at 129.1 kph, pitching it slightly fuller than a length.

Speaking about the DC vs SRH match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first in Visakhapatnam. However, they had a forgettable outing as opener Abhishek Sharma ran out in the first over for just one run, and then Ishan Kishan could face only five balls for just two runs while Nitish Kumar Reddy was dismissed for a two-ball duck.
Aniket Verma emerges as new hero for SRH in the IPL 2025
Delhi Capitals got a dreamy start, thanks to Mitchell Starc’s remarkable efforts in the powerplay against SRH in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash. Unfortunately, Travis Head also failed to replicate his last season’s form, as the explosive batter was removed for 22 runs off 12 balls by his Aussie teammate Starc, leaving his Hyderabad team in a precarious situation against DC.

But a new hero emerged for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and he is Bhopal boy Aniket Verma, who stole the show with his memorable knock of 74 runs off 41 balls studded with five boundaries and six sixes against the DC. However, Mohit Sharma broke Aniket and Klaasen’s stunning partnership, but the duo managed to bring SRH out of danger to ensure they reach the respectable total.
Notably, Aniket Verma’s stunning knock of 74 runs was the second-highest score by a Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter batting at No. 5 or below in the IPL. Heinrich Klaasen’s unbeaten 80 off 34 balls against the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 remains the top score for the franchise at No. 5 or below.
Mitchell Starc delights after taking his maiden five-wicket haul in T20s
Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc delivered his best for DC against the SRH, as he finished with his maiden five-wicket haul in the T20 cricket to help his team bowl out the tourists to 163 runs inside 19 overs. Apart from Starc, Kuldeep Yadav also snared three wickets against the SRH.
Starc said during the innings break, “We know how such a powerful side Sunrisers are. We knew powerplay wickets were key. All-round, it was a fantastic performance in the first innings of this game. It's nice to be in a new franchise. Our second game, it's been great to settle in with the guys and get to know a few people. I am 35, and I am not young, but I hope there's still a little life left.”
