Indian batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma put in extra practice ahead of the Men in Blue's upcoming Super 8 match against Bangladesh in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were determined to be fully prepared for the upcoming clash in the ongoing ICC tournament.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been going through a lean patch in the World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. However, the Indian cricket team finished at the top of the table in Group A. The Men in Blue defeated Afghanistan in their first Super 8 match to boost their chances of reaching the semis.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will take on the Bangladesh team in their next match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on Saturday, June 22. The former World Cup champions will be hoping to continue their winning streak. A win in the next match will take India close to the semi-finals.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opened the innings together only once before the T20 World Cup 2024. They were paired up to balance the presence of big hitters in the middle order. However, this strategy hasn't been successful for the Indian cricket team so far, despite high expectations from both senior players.
Virat came into the World Cup after an outstanding IPL season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The former Indian skipper registered scores of 1, 4, 0, and 24 in his four matches. Rohit has also underperformed, scoring just 76 runs in four innings at an average of 19.00 with a strike rate of 111.76.
Rohit Sharma Is An Experienced Batter - Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar expressed confidence in Rohit Sharma's ability to perform well in the upcoming matches. Gavaskar highlighted that suggestions can be made about adjusting shots based on the bowler's angle, but added that Rohit knows best how to adapt his game.
"He is an experienced batter. He knows what he is gotta do. You can't really tell Rohit Sharma to change his game because of the angle of the bowler," Gavaskar told Star Sports.
Coming back to India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup clash, the Men In Blue would be looking forward to extending their dominance over the Tigers in the T20I format as in 13 matches between the teams, they have won on 12 occasions.
