Babar Azam flops once again in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Meanwhile, Babar has yet again failed to deliver in the big match against India. Hardik Pandya has given India a crucial breakthrough in the ninth over of Pakistan’s innings. The Indian all-rounder bowled a slightly shorter delivery outside off, tempting Babar Azam into a drive.
But the former Pakistan skipper managed to get an edge, and KL Rahul made no mistake behind the stumps, diving low to his right for a clean catch. After taking the crucial wicket, Hardik gave Babar a cheeky wave as he walked back to the pavilion after making 23 off 26 balls in Dubai.
Earlier, Babar made the headlines for skipping Pakistan’s last training session before the ongoing high-pressure match against the Men in Blue in Dubai. Even he didn’t attend PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi’s pep talk. Many have criticized Babar’s move as he has already been struggling for runs.
Sourav Ganguly backs Virat Kohli to make strong comeback
On the other hand, Virat Kohli is also struggling for runs, and even in the first match against Bangladesh, the former Indian skipper could manage only 22 runs. However, many have been hoping to see Kohli back in form against Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy match.
Recently, Sourav Ganguly backed Kohli and said that he is a great and champion player who doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody. The former BCCI president also said that every player goes through the time, and it’s only a matter of time before Kohli will once again start making runs for the Men in Blue.

Ganguly also feels Kohli can return to his form in the ongoing CT 2025. On the other hand, Ahmed Shehzad has sounded the alarm for Pakistan’s bowlers, hinting that Kohli can play a big knock in Dubai on Sunday. Shehzad believes that Kohli is due for a game-changing performance, so Pakistan’s bowlers will have to be at their absolute best to outsmart him.
Speaking about the India vs. Pakistan match, the Men in Green’s current score reads 94/2 in 24 overs against India with Pandya dismissing Babar while Imam-ul-Haq ran out in Dubai.
