Virat Kohli, on Sunday (April 13), starred with the bat as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) thrashed Rajasthan Royals (RR) by nine wickets to get back to winning ways.

The former RCB skipper scored his third fifty of the season to lead RCB to a crucial win. RCB entered the game after suffering a crushing 6-wicket loss at the hands of Delhi Capitals.

They needed the win to stay in touching distance of the table-toppers and produced a flawless performance to get back to winning ways.

Bowling first, RCB restricted RR to 173/4 in 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored for RR, scoring 75 runs off 47 balls while Riyan Parag (30) and Dhruv Jurel (35*) also played crucial knocks.

Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal then shared an unbeaten stand of 83 runs for the second wicket to power RCB to a thumping victory. Kohli remained unbeaten on 62 while Padikkal remained unbeaten on 40.

The win was RCB's fourth of the season and also extended their unbeaten run in away matches this season. While RCB have lost both of their home games so far, they have emerged victorious in all four away matches.

Tim David steals Virat Kohli's bat:

After the conclusion of the game, RCB star Tim David decided to have some fun at the expense of Virat Kohli. When Kohli was probably busy batting against RR, Tim David decided to playfully steal one of his bats.

In a video posted by RCB on social media, the Australian star could be seen taking out the bat from Kohli's kit bag and keeping it in his own bag.

"I want to see how long it took for Virat to realise we'd taken one of his bats," said Tim David.

However, it did not take Kohli long to realise that one of his bats was missing. After counting his bats, Kohli told his teammates: "I counted my bats yesterday, there were seven. Now it's six."

Kohli then checked David's kit bag and found his bat. As soon as Kohli took out his bat, David told him, "I didn't take it. I just borrowed it."
