Rohit scored 17 runs off 9 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After surviving a close chance on the first ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rohit smashed a six and two boundaries. However, his knock ended when Yash Dayal bowled him.

Rajat Patidar Named Player of the Match for His Impact

The Royal Challengers posted a commanding total of 221/5 after being asked to bat first. Virat Kohli (67 off 42) and skipper Rajat Patidar (64 off 32) made key contributions. Devdutt Padikkal chipped in with 37 off 22 balls, while Jitesh Sharma added late momentum with an unbeaten 40 off 19 balls.

In response, Mumbai Indians finished at 209/9. Tilak Varma (56) and Hardik Pandya (42 off 15) kept MI in the hunt, but both were dismissed in quick succession.

With 17 needed off the final three balls, Naman Dhir struck a four but couldn’t finish the match for his team. Virat Kohli celebrated the thrilling win with passion, while disappointment was visible on the MI bench.

Virat Kohli Maintains Impressive Form in IPL 2025

Virat Kohli has continued his strong form into IPL 2025. After four matches, he has scored 164 runs at an impressive average of 54.67 and a strike rate of 143.86. Kohli is currently sixth in the Orange Cap race. The right-handed batter's approach at the top of the order has been crucial to RCB’s recent success this season.

Kohli has formed an opening pair with Phil Salt in the ongoing season. He didn’t perform well against the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, the former Orange Cap winner had a strong second half in IPL 2024, finishing that campaign with an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69.
