Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s antics continued on the fifth day of the ICC World Test Championship final.

The fifth day of the ongoing WTC final was once again delayed due to rain but when play did get started, Virat Kohli was seen warming up in the slip-cordon.

Rohit Sharma, who was standing alongside him, saw the funny side of it, gesturing his captain to focus while standing in the cordon.

Meanwhile, India desperately needed to make early in-roads into the New Zealand batting unit on day 05 to give themselves a chance to stage a comeback.

However, that wasn’t the case as Kane Williamson and  Ross Taylor cautiously survived the opening spells bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami.

Once again Jasprit Bumrah looked off his mark as he struggled to find the ideal length and continued to bowl short.

Ishant Sharma, on the other hand, rightly targeted the pads of Ross Taylor but he was guilty of bowling a touch on the leg-stump.

Mohammed Shami was once again the pick of the bowlers as he got the bowl to move appreciably off the seam.

But, as has been the case throughout his Test spells in England, he beat the bat quite often and failed to induce an outside edge.

At the time of writing, New Zealand had blunted out the opening hour, having scored just 16 runs in the process.
