Coming to the match, Delhi captain Ayush Badoni won the toss and opted to field first. The spotlight will be on the India National Cricket Team batter as he will be keen to score runs and give fans something to cheer about who have filled the stadium.
The match will be a great opportunity for Virat Kohli to get back to his best
The match will be a great opportunity for Virat Kohli to get back to his best, especially after the poor form that he endured in the Tests over the last few years. The batter has been very poor and it has raised questions over his place in the Indian team.
Kohli looked in poor form in the last Test series against Australia. The batter started the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 on high as he hit a glorious century in the first match in Perth and it was expected that he would set the stage on fire in the rest of the games.
But that wasn't the case, Kohli then managed just 90 runs in the last 4 games of the series. He was troubled a lot by the ball outside off as Australia National Cricket Team pacers were all over him, especially Scott Boland.
Kohli would want to score runs for Delhi in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Getting some runs under his belt will be crucial for him, especially with a big England tour around the corner.
