Virat Kohli and coach Gautam Gambhir exchanged high-fives after India narrowly avoided the follow-on in the third Test that ended in a draw between India and Australia at the Gabba, Brisbane, on Wednesday (December 18).

There were a lot of moments from the Gabba Test going viral online. Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen having some gala time in the dressing room with the players, especially Virat Kohli, on Day 4 and Day 5 of the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Harbhajan Singh reflects on dressing room fun after Virat Kohli-Gautam Gambhir viral moment at the Gabba

In a viral clip, Virat Kohli was seen mimicking a player in front of Gautam Gambhir and the bowling coach Morne Morkel in the dressing room, and the Indian head coach burst into laughter, with the trio seen laughing their hearts out during the rain break in the Gabba Test.

Reacting to the amusing moment, Harbhajan Singh, former Indian spinner and commentator, recalled his old days when the players and coaches enjoyed their time in the dressing room during the rain breaks. He also opened up on Gambhir’s behind-the-scenes personality.

Harbhajan Singh shared how much he misses the lively atmosphere of the dressing room, especially on rainy days. He reflected on the fun moments, playful banter, and shared jokes that brought the team closer. He mentioned how these times were filled with unique stories and light-hearted leg-pulling that made the Indian dressing room experience unforgettable.

The former Indian spinner also fondly recalled those rainy days when the team would simply sit together, chat, enjoy the camaraderie, and share their stories that can't always be said on camera. He said that sometimes players want to have a whole rainy day.

Harbhajan Singh said on Star Sports: “Yes (still missing dressing room), this is the right time. When it's raining outside, in the dressing room, old talks, someone's leg pulling, and some jokes around, there are a lot of fun moments. Such things come out here, which are so funny, but sometimes you can't say it on camera. But there are fun scenes. When you are in the dressing room, sometimes you want the day to be rainy. You know it's raining all day. Chit-chat, fight, and have fun. And those stories, different stories of different people, come out.”

Gautam Gambhir was also spotted enjoying jokes in the commentary lounge, and Harbhajan Singh mentioned that when the former Indian cricketer is in a cheerful mood, his laughter is unstoppable. The commentator added that Gambhir could laugh just as much every time; even if the same joke or topic is repeated multiple times, he is such a person.

Harbhajan signed off by saying, “When he is happy, he is happy as if he will fall down. And if you tell him one thing 15 times, he will laugh as much as 15 times. On the same topic.”

Notably, the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is currently tied at 1-1 after the third Test ended in a draw in Brisbane, and now India and Australia will head to Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test.
