Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a fun interaction with India Under 19 World Cup squad ahead of their final against England in the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2022 on Sunday. It is notable that team India have once again reached the final of the U19 World Cup, making it three in three appearances in the final over the last three editions of the tournament.

Virat Kohli also won the ICC Under 19 World Cup in 2008 as the captain of the Indian team which led to his emergence in international cricket after the win. India Under 19 will be taking on England Under 19 in the final of the tournament on Sunday as the Men in Blue would like to clinch their 5th title of the tournament.

Virat Kohli Interacts With India Under 19 Team Ahead Of The World Cup Final

Team India have had a fantastic run in the Under 19 World Cup so far as they have gone on to win all the 5 matches that they have played in the tournament. They won the semifinal of the tournament against Australia by a heft margin as skipper Yash Dhull led the charge from the front smashing a century in the semi-final fixture.

On Thursday, one of the players of the India Under 19 team, Kaushal Tambe, shared a story on his Instagram wherein former Indian skipper Virat Kohli can be seen having a chat with the younger minds who are on the verge of scripting history. Prior to this, the Men in Blue have won the tournament four times and they are the most successful team in the history of the tournament.

The first win came in the year 200 under the captaincy of Mohammed Kaif. Virat Kohli became the second Indian captain to lift the Under 19 World Cup trophy in 2008 and after Virat’s win, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw got the opportunity to lift the coveted trophy in 2013 and 2018 respectively. The Men in Blue were also the runner ups of the tournament in the 2020 edition where they lost the final to Bangladesh Under 19s.
