Indian batsman Virat Kohli’s admiration for legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is not hidden. Also, he has openly expressed his love for his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma on the cricket field. Kohli recently became a father for the second time and welcomed a baby boy to his home. Virat is currently on a break and pulled out from the IND vs ENG Test series for the same.

During the recent edition of rapid-fire ‘Team Blue Rising’, Virat Kohli interacted and answered questions. Virat was asked about a lot of aspects and also his sporting ‘GOAT’, Virat answered Cristiano Ronaldo, and once again expressed his love for the veteran Portuguese footballer.

Virat Kohli said, “For me, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo”, the former Indian captain was also asked about the one celebrity he would like to join the E1 family. Kohli’s answer would have touched the hearts of his fans as he named Anushka Sharma. He said, “There is only one name – Anushka”.

In January 2023, Virat Kohli lashed out at the football experts who were constantly criticizing Cristiano Ronaldo and wanted him to quit football. The incident occurred when Ronaldo, while playing from the combined XI of Saudi Arabian League teams Al Nassr and Al Hilal scored 2 goals against Paris Saint Germain. PSG defeated the Saudi teams Al Nassr and Al Hilal 5–4 on Thursday. Despite having a swollen cheek, Ronaldo managed to score 2 goals after his collision with Keylor Navas, the goalie for PSG.

Due to his performance, former India cricket captain Virat Kohli honored Ronaldo on Instagram and attacked “football experts” who had been critical of him lately.

Virat Kohli had written on Instagram, “Still doing it at the highest level at 38. The football experts sitting and criticising him every week for attention are conveniently quiet now that he’s put in this kind of performance against one of the top clubs in the world. And he was apparently finished.”

While Virat Kohli had been very much open about his love for Cristiano Ronaldo, the 34-year-old batsman’s love story with Anushka Sharma took place more secretly. Ever since Kohli met the Bollywood actress in 2013 during an ad shoot, the former Indian captain never really accepted his relationship openly, before getting married to her in a secret wedding in Italy in late 2017.

However, on many occasions, Virat Kohli was seen standing by the side of Anushka Sharma, while the actress was always seen supporting the former Indian captain, whereas Kohli also bashed the trollers, who blamed Anushka for India’s loss in the 2015 ODI World Cup final.

Talking about international cricket, Virat Kohli will be seen playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2024. Kohli has been in red-hot form with the bat and was also adjudged the Player of the Tournament during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Virat was also chosen as the ODI Player of the Year and scored 8 tons in international cricket through the year 2023.

The Indian batsman will also be witnessed in the T20 World Cup 2024 and will look forward to winning yet another trophy for India.
