Bengaluru suffered their second consecutive home defeat in IPL 2025 on Thursday, April 10. The visiting team, led by Axar Patel, comfortably chased down a target of 164 with more than two overs to spare. KL Rahul played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 93 runs to steer Delhi to victory.

However, KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs changed the match in Delhi’s favor with their partnership for the fourth wicket. The duo added an unbeaten 111 runs off 55 balls.

Virat Kohli was frustrated with Rajat Patidar's decisions in the final overs. Kohli was seen in a heated exchange with Dinesh Karthik near the boundary during the 16th over. He was not happy with Rajat Patidar’s field placements or the bowling changes. The video has gone viral across social media platforms.

He Has to Communicate This With Captain Rajat Patidar - Aakash Chopra

During the live broadcast, commentator Aakash Chopra said that Virat can share his thoughts with coach Dinesh Karthik, but they need to communicate with Rajat Patidar. Virender Sehwag added that the frustration likely stemmed from Josh Hazlewood conceding 22 runs in the 15th over.

“This is an animated conversation with the coach Dinesh Karthik. He has to communicate this with captain Rajat Patidar in the middle. Rajat is the captain of this team. Virat Kohli can have a discussion with Dinesh Karthik. Still, he needs to speak to Patidar,” said Aakash Chopra during the Hindi broadcast of the fixture.

“I think Virat Kohli is speaking about the last over where Josh Hazlewood conceded 22 runs,” said Virender Sehwag.

Delhi Capitals were struggling at 58/4 inside 9 overs. However, they gained momentum with a partnership between KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs. Rahul anchored the chase with a superb unbeaten 93 off 53 balls, including seven boundaries and six maximums.

Tristan Stubbs scored 38* off 23 deliveries as they chased down the 164-run target. Delhi secured their fourth consecutive victory under Axar Patel. They are currently in second place on the table with eight points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of +1.278.

Meanwhile, RCB is in third place with six points. They will next take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR), led by Sanju Samson, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday, April 13.
