India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli is back to where he started. The premier batter has joined the Delhi team ahead of their Ranji Trophy 2024-25 game against Railways, which will be played from 30th January at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Virat Kohli, who joined the Delhi team on Tuesday, didn't waste much time and was on the field, training with his teammates ahead of the match. The batter also returned to nets and was seen working on his backfoot game, which of late has gone below par and has brought his downfall as well.

A lot of fans, along with media personnel, turned up at Arun Jaitley Stadium to see Virat Kohli train ahead of the game. But one of the fans that caught the attention of many was a young fourth-standard student. The kid keenly watched the batter train and his batting in the nets before his wait to meet the cricketer finally ended.

Kabir met Kohli and it was possible only because of his father Shavez, who was batter's friend and played age-group cricket with him. The India National Cricket Team batter stopped practice in between to meet his old friend and was seen having a conversation with his childhood friend.

Virat Kohli was also seen talking to Kabir for some time before signing the ‘Uncle Kohli’ poster he was carrying. Kabir also clicked a photo of Kohli and his father.

Virat Kohli struggles against fast bowlers of the Delhi team including Navdeep Saini

Kohli, who put hard yards in the nets, was troubled as well in the nets by the fast bowlers. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that pacers Navdeep Saini and Siddhant Sharma beat the batter a couple of times as he geared up for his first Ranji Trophy game after 12 years.

Kohli faced five bowlers in Money Grewal, Navdeep Saini, Rahul Gehlot, Siddhant Sharma, and Vivek Gusain in a 25-minute session. Before facing the pacers, the reports claimed that the batter spent almost half an hour facing 3 spinners - Harsh Tyagi (left-arm), Sumit Mathur (left-arm), and Shivam (right-arm).

Virat Kohli reportedly was engaged in an intense training session, and was beaten twice by Tyagi's sharp spin

Kohli reportedly was engaged in an intense training session. He looked solid for the majority of the session but was beaten twice by Tyagi's sharp spin. The India National Cricket Team batter, who arrived at 9:00 AM in Stadium, was comfortable against pacers as well, apart from a few balls.

The Ranji Trophy 2024-25 game against Railways will be a massive opportunity for Kohli to regain his form. The right-hander has looked off-color in Tests of late. He looked below par in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where he scored just 190 runs.
