RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj picked up 15 wickets for his franchise this season. However, he could not quite bowl his team to win their maiden IPL title.

RCB who promised much more with their performance in the second half lost the Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals to bow out of the tournament with disappointment once again. They won just one out of their first 8 games and then won six on the trot to make it to the final. That included a historic win over CSK with RCB defying the odds to make it to the playoffs.

However, they came second in the knockout game as they were defeated by RR. Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 172/8 which looked like a good score in the Eliminator. However, the Royals batters kept their calm and went on to win the game by six wickets to spare with an over left.

RR will now take on SRH in the second qualifier and fight for a place in the finals on Sunday. The winner of this match will face KKR in the final.

Siraj who will join the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024 had a fun session with Jio Cinema where he picked his Ultimate Street Cricket side having four players in the side.

He picked Virat Kohli as the specialist batter, MS Dhoni as the keeper-batter, himself as the specialist seamer, and the late Shane Warne as the specialist spinner.

The Indian pacer will now have a long-term assignment with the Indian cricket team starting with the T20 World Cup in USA and Caribbean followed by the Test series against Australia which is a part of the WTC and the Champions Trophy 2025 next year.

With RCB's loss to RR in the Eliminator another year of hope came to a crashing end for the Bengaluru franchise. Their fans were seen disappointed after yet another hopeful year that promised more than delivered.

RCB had gathered good momentum with six back-to-back wins but their momentum came to a hat in the Eliminator against RR. They lost to KKR in the Eliminator in IPL 2021 and also to RR in Qualifier 2 in IPL 2022.

"Credit to the boys - they fought really well. That's all you can ask for. If you look at naturally assessing the pitch and conditions, you would say it's a 180 pitch because it was swinging upfront and was quite slow. But what we've found out this season, with the impact player, the par score isn't enough any more. Also with the dew coming in. Extremely proud. Lot of teams - their wheels would've fallen off after 1 from 9. To come back like that, six games in a row, takes a lot of heart and character. We weren't special tonight in terms of pushing that extra 20 runs with the bat" said Faf du Plessis after the loss to RR.

There will be a big auction ahead of the next IPL season in 2025. Each franchise will be allowed to retain four players which includes two Indian and two overseas or three Indian and one overseas.
