Virat Kohli is always known for his verbal volleys and constant chatters. The veteran India batter is one of the most followed when it comes to chatters on stump mic. During the ongoing Perth Test between Australia and India, his chatters on the stump mic went viral again.

Kohli was heard chatting with the Australian offspinner Nathan Lyon on the mic. Not only this, Kohli also predicted his teammate Rishabh Pant's huge IPL signing in between the matches and claimed that he is going to be paid a huge amount.

Virat Kohli's chatter with Nathan Lyon

During the Perth Test, Virat Kohli and Nathan Lyon were involved in a funny banter. Kohli was defeated by a turning ball from Lyon which beat his inside edge to the boundary rope for four byes.

Lyon tried to get under Kohli's skin by claiming it was a decent ball. However, Kohli joked that it was an easy ball. Both the legendary players shared a laugh with each other after the conversation.

Virat Kohli predicts Rishabh Pant's huge IPL signing during Perth Test

During India's second innings, Rishabh Pant came down the track in an attempt to smash the ball from Mitchell Marsh out of the park. However, he left the ball after seeing it was too wide.

Kohli then jumped on to the chatter saying that Pant doesn't need to go big on the day as he is already going to be paid a huge amount in the IPL 2025 auction. Kohli's prediction was absolutely right later on.

Pant became the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League as he was signed by Lucknow Super Giants for a massive amount of INR 27 crore. Pant's former team Delhi Capitals tried to retain him but bowed out later.

During the same video, Virat Kohli was also heard advising the young allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy how to counter the Australian bowlers at a particular point in time. Kohli advised Reddy to make room and play the ball into the gap through the off-side.

India in firm control at Perth

Meanwhile, India have strengthened its position in Perth with some brilliant performances with both bat and ball. After missing out with the bat in the first innings, Indian batters piled on runs in the second innings and scored 487-6 Dec. in the second innings.

Virat Kohli smashed an unbeaten hundred in the second innings for India after Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed a magnificent 161. Kohli reached his hundred with a sweep shot for a four and finished on 100 off 143 balls.

In reply, they reduced Australia to 12-3 at Stumps on Day 3. With two more days left in the Test, the visitors are in firm control of the Test match. Australia will be aiming to put up a fight which will give them confidence ahead of the upcoming matches.
