Watch: Virat Kohli rejects young fan’s autograph plea, leaves him crying & devastated
Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru and India captain Virat Kohli has once again courted controversy after a latest video went viral on the internet.
In the video, Kohli was seen denying an autograph to a young fan, leaving the latter in tears. The move has divided the internet over whether or not what he did was right.
Kohli and RCB were part of a crushing 9-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals on Monday night.
Virat Kohli ignores the small child and walks away
In the video, Kohli can be seen arriving at the team hotel with a young kid eagerly waiting for him. While the child rushed to greet Kohli, he was pushed away by security, ultimately denying him the autograph.
Most have criticised Kohli for 'shattering the child's dream' and 'acting arrogantly'. Many others, though, have defended him by saying that he is not obligated to entertain any and all requests that come through to him.
The young fan was visibly frustrated and reacted by throwing his bat on the ground. This also left the internet divided, as many people criticised the 'entitlement' on display.

Virat Kohli achieves a significant milestone against the Delhi Capitals
During RCB's crushing win against Delhi Capitals on Monday, Kohli achieved a milestone that no other player has achieved in IPL history.
RCB had won the toss and chose to bowl in New Delhi. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood took three wickets each in the powerplay to leave Delhi 8/6 at one point.
Abhishek Porel resisted through the onslaught but could not prevent Delhi from being bowled out for just 75.
RCB chased the target down in just 6.3 overs and won by 81 balls to spare. Kohli made an unbeaten 23 during the course of which he became the first batter to make 9,000 runs in IPL history.
Kohli was also the first batter to make 4,000, 6,000, 7,000, and 8,000 runs in IPL history. With 351 runs at a strike rate of 163 in 8 matches, Kohli is the fourth-highest run scorer in IPL 2026.

RCB upcoming matches in IPL 2026
RCB will next face the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on April 30. The two teams have already met once before - on April 24 in Bengaluru.
In that encounter, a brilliant century from Sai Sudharsan went in vain as Virat Kohli counter-attacked with 81 in a successful chase of 206. Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings.
RCB now have 6 wins in 8 matches, and the win over DC has given them the best Net Run Rate in the league. All of this has made RCB's playoff push much easier.
