India and Sri Lanka are currently involved in the three-match T20I series. Team India have already clinched the series by winning the first two games.

The Men in Blue won the first game by 43 runs before registering a 7-wicket win (DLS method) in the second game to win the series. With form and momentum on their side, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side will be looking to win the third game as well and complete a clean sweep.

After the T20Is, both teams will be resuming their rivalry in ODIs. India and Sri Lanka are scheduled to play a three-match ODI series between themselves. It will be the first ODI meeting between the two teams since their meeting in the World Cup last year. The entire series will be played in Colombo from August 2.

And ahead of the series, Virat Kohli has landed in Colombo. The former India skipper was expected to be rested for the ODI series. However, he as well as Rohit Sharma reportedly agreed to play the series after newly-appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir requested them for their availability.

Soon after landing in Colombo, Virat Kohli hit the nets and was seen sweating it out. He faced throwdowns in the nets as he prepared for his first ODI assignment since last year's ODI World Cup.

Virat Kohli will be looking to hit the ground running in ODIs when he takes the field in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. The batting stalwart has not played an ODI since the final of the World Cup in November last year. While India played an ODI series against South Africa in December, he was rested.

Kohli had a stunning campaign in the ODI World Cup last year. He finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer and also broke the record for most runs in one edition of the World Cup. The right-handed batsman had scored an impressive 765 runs in 11 games with the help of 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries.

Meanwhile, the upcoming series is also India's first ODI assignment of the year and they will be looking to register a series win.
