India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli has been keeping the intensity high on the field in the ongoing second ODI against Sri Lanka. R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo is host to the second game of the series between the teams on Sunday (4th August).

India bowlers have been keeping things tight in the game against Sri Lanka. Spinners, in particular, have been sensational as they have picked up wickets at regular intervals of time and are making sure that they keep the team on top of the game in the second match.

Wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been giving his best with the ball and has picked crucial wickets for his team. He also removed dangerous Janith Liyanage as he bowled and fielded sensationally well to bag the first wicket of the day.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled a leggie that dipped on the batter marginally outside off. Batter Janith Liyanage didn't time the ball as he leaned forward and was early into the drive. He failed to keep it down and the bowler took an overhead catch in his followthrough.

Watching Kuldeep Yadav take a sensational catch off his bowling made Virat Kohli delighted. The India batter looked pumped up as he went close to the bowler and hugged him.

Here's the video:

Janith Liyanage couldn't score big for his team, as he ended up with just 12 runs off 20 balls. With his wicket, Sri Lanka was left tottering at 136/5. After that, they lost skipper Charith Asalanka as well and were 136/6, coming under a lot of pressure, despite having a decent start.

But the effort from Dunith Wellalage (39) and Kamindu Mendis (40) brought the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team back into the game. Based on their crucial hands-down order, the Charith Asalanka-led side ended with a total of 240 runs on the board.

We have done a decent job to restrict them - Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian team in the ongoing game against Sri Lanka. The all-rounder picked three wickets in the game and was extremely economical as well as he gave away just 30 runs in the 10 overs he bowled.

While talking about his spell, Washington Sundar stated that there was a purchase from the wicket and admitted that they had done a decent job with the ball. He also expressed his desire to contribute to the team with the bat. Speaking after the innings, he explained:

"Coming to Sri Lanka, there's always bounce. In the last game and today, there was a purchase off the wicket. Feel it's slower today. We have done a decent job to restrict them.

"240 is good to chase. We have bowled well. From 150/6, it would have been better if we had given 20 runs less. Looking forward to it (batting) and contributing to the team's success," he concluded.
