Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli didn't have a great outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The IPL 2025 clash between the teams is taking place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday (28th March).
Virat Kohli, who opened the innings for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, looked shaky right from the start as he was tested by a lot by the Chennai Super Kings pacers. The premier batter didn't get his timing right, as he struggled for most of his innings.
Virat Kohli was also hit on the head by Matheesha Pathirana, and it triggered him a lot. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru then slammed the fast bowler for two consecutive fours but then, in the next over, ended up giving his wicket to Chennai Super Kings lead spinner Noor Ahmad.
Noor Ahmad bowled a tossed-up delivery on off and middle stump. Virat Kohli kneeled down and played a slog sweep towards deep mid-wicket. The batter struck it flat and picked out Rachin Ravindra right on the rope to end his scratchy innings.
What caught the attention was his reaction after getting out. The RCB batter looked extremely disappointed with the way he got out and the video went viral.

However, Rajat Patidar came up with a brilliant half-century to keep his team on track. In the end, Tim David (22*) provided a great finishing touch, hitting three sixes in the last over, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a total of 196 for seven. For Chennai Super Kings, Noor Ahmad picked three wickets.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru then came up with a brilliant effort with the ball. Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were superb with the new ball as they took wickets inside power play to reduce Chennai Super Kings to 26/3. Rachin Ravindra (41) was the top run-getter while the rest of the batters struggled.
Chennai Super Kings kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and it didn't even once look like they could win. Ravindra Jadeja (25) and MS Dhoni (30*) tried hard in the end but the target was too much as Bengaluru restricted Chennai to 146 for eight to win the game by 50 runs.
