Yuvraj Singh offers a scholarship to young cricket prodigy Rishika Sarkar from Kolkata
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh recently showed his generosity by offering a scholarship to Rishika Sarkar, a 4-year-old cricket prodigy from Kolkata. After Rishika's video showing her impressive cricket skills went viral on social media, the former Indian all-rounder also took notice of her talent.
Moved by her potential, Yuvraj made the generous gesture of funding both Rishika's education and cricket training. This scholarship will allow Rishika to pursue her academic and cricketing ambitions at the Merlin Rise Yuvraj Singh's Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.
Yuvraj Singh was quoted as saying by India Today: “The Yuvraj Singh Center of Excellence at Merlin Rise, Kolkata, is committed to nurturing young cricketing talent. Cricket talent has always been ahead in Bengal, and we are giving this special scholarship to talent like Rishika Sarkar.
I have seen videos of him playing cricket, and I believe he is very talented at such a young age. Some of her shots moved me. We will assist him in his training at our High-Performance Training Center at YSCE at Merlin Rise, Kolkata, and our coaches will help her hone her talent further.”
