RCB vs SRH: The ongoing match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad (RCB vs SRH) witnessed a controversial incident because of a wide call.
The incident took place in the 18th over of Sunrisers Hyderabad's innings when Bhuvneshwar Kumar was bowling to Ishan Kishan. On the fourth ball of the over, Bhuvneshwar went for a wide yorker but ended up bowling a low full-toss outside the off stump.
Kishan decided to switch his stance and play the reverse hit. However, he could not make any connection with the ball, and it went straight to Jitesh Sharma behind the stumps. As soon as Jitesh collected the ball, the on-field umpire signaled a wide.
However, Jitesh was convinced that it was not a wide decision and reviewed the decision immediately, even without consulting any other player. The RCB wicketkeeper, however, was in for a rude shock when the third umpire adjudged it a wide delivery.
The replays showed that no part of the ball was inside the revised blue line. As a result, the third umpire adjudged it a wide delivery and asked the on-field umpire to signal a wide.

However, Jitesh was still not convinced as he and some other RCB players charged towards the umpire and seemingly told him that Kishan's front leg was way outside the leg-stump. The third umpire had another look and eventually decided to give his decision in the bowler's favour. As a result, it was eventually adjudged a legal delivery.

Meanwhile, Kishan's stunning knock has helped SRH post a daunting total of 231/6 in the allotted 20 overs in the RCB vs SRH match. The southpaw remained unbeaten till the end, scoring 94 runs off 48 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes.
The likes of Abhishek Sharma (34), Heinrich Klaasen (24) and Aniket Verma (26) got the start as well but they could not convert it into big scores. With such a huge total on the board, SRH would be confident of defending it and deal a big blow to RCB's top-two hopes. RCB have already qualified for the playoffs and are currently eyeing a top-two finish.
