Yashasvi Jaiswal, on Sunday (April 13), led Rajasthan Royals' charge with the bat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He scored a fine fifty to lay the foundation for a big total for his side.
The young opener struggled to find his rhythm early in the competition. The southpaw began his campaign with a 1-run knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the following game against Kolkata Knight Riders, he got the start but could not capitalize on it and was dismissed for 29.
It was followed by yet another batting failure as Yashasvi Jaiswal was out for only 4 runs against Chennai Super Kings. The Rajasthan Royals opener finally managed to make an impact with the bat in his fourth game of the season. Playing against the high-flying Punjab Kings, he scored 67 runs.

However, Yashasvi Jaiswal could not capitalize on that knock as he failed to deliver with the bat in the following match against Gujarat Titans. He was out for just 6 runs against the IPL 2022 winners.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scores fine fifty:
On Sunday, Yashasvi Jaiswal got the start against RCB and made sure to convert it into a good score. After RCB opted to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Royals captain Sanju Samson gave the team a good start. Although neither of them managed to bat aggressively in the powerplay, they made sure that their team did not lose any wickets.
They added 49 runs for the first wicket before Krunal Pandya dismissed Samson for 15. Jaiswal, on the other hand, made the most of his start and went on to complete his second fifty in the ongoing IPL 2025.
He completed his fifty in the 13th over, reaching the milestone with a single off Krunal Pandya's bowling. Jaiswal then brought out his captain Samson's trademark 'flexing bicep' celebration.

Samson had done the celebration for the first time in 2020 after completing his fifty against Mumbai Indians. He had also explained the reason behind the celebration, saying: "Reminding myself what my name is, I think Samson is the strongest man in the world, I keep remembering that. I am very strong and I can hit more sixes."
Talking about the game, the Royals were on 126/2 in the 16th over at the time of writing this report. Jaiswal was batting on 75 while Dhruv Jurel was unbeaten on 2.
