Drama unfolded at The Oval just as players walked off for lunch on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test between India and England. With India firmly in control and Yashasvi Jaiswal close to his century, the English players tried to get under the Indian opener’s skin and ended up getting a taste of their own medicine.
As Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill were heading back to the dressing room after the lunch break, England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley, as well as stand-in captain Ollie Pope, were seen teasing the young Indian opener at The Oval.

Jaiswal said something to the English players angrily, with both teams’ support staff watching closely as players left the field. Now, the clip of the intense moment between India and England players has gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, India had a solid morning session on Day 3 of the final Test against England, thanks to a strong 107-run partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and nightwatchman Akash Deep. They not only steadied India’s innings but also took the visitors into a commanding position.
Resuming Day 3 at 75/2, India looked under pressure. But Jaiswal and Akash batted patiently against England. Akash surprised everyone with his fearless batting, scoring 66 runs off 94 balls. The Indian pacer took charge early in the day, smashing a six off Jacob Bethell in the very first over.

On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a more calm and composed innings, remaining unbeaten on 85 from 106 balls at lunch. He played some elegant strokes, including a ramp shot off Jamie Overton that raced away for four. The left-handed batter looked determined to make up for his low score in the first innings and is now closing in on his sixth hundred in Test cricket.
But just before lunch, Jamie Overton finally ended the frustrating partnership by dismissing Akash, who mistimed a shot and was caught at point by Jamie Overton. But the damage had been done, as India had taken a healthy lead of 166 runs with seven wickets in hand.
Earlier, England had posted 247 in response to India’s 224. With the ongoing five-match Test series currently in England’s favor at 2-1, India is fighting hard to level it in the final Test at The Oval.
