India fast bowler Shivam Mavi has revealed that he dreams of bowling alongside Kamlesh Nagarkoti for Team India one day. Around six years ago, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti burst onto the scene through the Under-19 World Cup 2018.
Both of them were highly impressive with the serious pace they were able to generate throughout the tournament.
Nagarkoti and Mavi clocked speeds of around 145 kmph consistently and the opposition batters were in trouble.
It was heartening to see two young Indian fast bowlers clocking such speeds and having the opposition batters troubled with pace and bounce.
Shining careers dented
Both were looked at as future fast bowlers for India. However, it did not go as well as planned. Since then, both the youngsters have fallen behind the pecking order.
While Mavi has played six T20Is for India, Nagarkoti is yet to make his international debut.
The careers of both these players have been hampered by injuries. Despite being highly talented, they have been unable to produce their best consistently.
