West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder has fired a warning to the England team ahead of the forthcoming ENG vs WI Tests. Jason Holder also heaped praises on their young squad who won the Test match against Australia earlier this year.

Jason Holder was not part of the West Indies tour of Australia in 2024. The Caribbean side grabbed a stunning 1-1 draw in the series to stun the Aussies on the latter's home soil. Notably, West Indies lost the first game but made a fabulous comeback in the second match.

They won a Test match in Australia after 1998 and scripted history to beat Australia for the first time in the 21st century. Also, the Caribbean side led by K Brathwaite defeated Australia at their fortress The Gabba, where they are known to not lose any series.

I have missed Test cricket and I am looking forward to it: Jason Holder

Now, the Caribbean side will look for another victory in England and this time they will have their star all-rounder Jason Holder back in the squad. Speaking about the England vs West Indies Test series, Holder said he has missed Test cricket and is looking forward to it.

"I was so happy for the boys when they did what they did in Australia. It gave me a renewed energy to come back to the group and be a part of something special again. I have missed Test cricket, and I am looking forward to it," Holder told Sky Sports.

Holder also fired a warning to the England team that West Indies are looking forward to winning the series with special talent on their side.

"It's important [to build on Australia]. I think the guys took a lot from that. We are coming out to win this series. We have some special talent in the dressing room. It's just about playing solid cricket and having belief. We have been doing some really positive things for the last couple of months, and as a young side the main thing is to keep learning," the all-rounder further said.

There is no better time for us to beat England than now: Holder fires warning

Jason Holder, who was last part of the T20I series against Australia in February in the same tour, also aims to beat England during the series. According to him, it is the best time to crush Ben Stokes & Co.

"We won one Test last time and are looking to take it further, and two would be a lot better on this trip. There is no better time for us to beat England than now. I think that would be a great feat and nothing this team is short of," he concluded.

The England vs West Indies 1st Test begins on July 10 at Lord's. The series comprises three games, scheduled to be played from July 18 and July 26. The ENG vs WI campaign will only see a Test series.
