Australian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against West Indies for the 1st Test Match on 30th November (Wednesday). This Test Series is expected to be a riveting contest as both the teams have got express pace bowling attacks that can dismantle the opponent on the given day.

West Indies would be aiming to spoil the party of Australia as West Indies doesn’t have a realistic chance of making it to the Final of the World Test Championship 2021-23. Australia is placed at the top of the table with a 70 percentile whereas West Indies is at the 5th position with a percentile of 51.85.

Kraigg Brathwaite on 1st Test Match

Kraigg Braithwaite was having an interaction with the reporters ahead of the 1st Test Match and was asked about the main goal.

“We want to bat [for] 100 overs, the main focus is to have discipline, We have batsmen that can get on with it, so it’s not to stop them. It’s for them to do the processes throughout the entire innings. It’s not to change anyone’s game,” said Kraigg Brathwaite.

“I think [batting] time is always great to have in Test cricket… to believe they can do it. We know Australia is a superior team. We have to play ten days of hard cricket, that’s our main focus.

“As a team, we want to do well for the Caribbean, and want youngsters to play Test cricket for West Indies. Obviously, we were great in the past, and we use it as motivation to get to that level,” he added.

Stern Test for West Indies

The Men in Maroon would be well aware of the fact that defeating Australia won’t be an easy task. West Indies hasn’t won a Test Series in Australia since 1997 February. West Indies’ arsenal is their bowling but the batters need to put on 400 runs on the board to give the team a solid chance.

All eyes would be on Tagenarine Chanderpaul who is all set to make his debut. The left-handed batter has shown a lot of promise in the domestic circuit and is expected to be the next big thing in World Cricket. There are chances that West Indies may promote Jason Holder up the order to provide stability.
