Fans on X reacted after Australian batter Josh Inglis slammed a brutal century against India in the ongoing first T20I. The two teams are squaring off with each other in the first game of the five-match series at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

Australia were asked to bat first and they have made good use of the batting conditions. The key architect behind that has been Josh Inglis as he has played a blinder of an innings in Visakhapatnam and has made mockery of the Indian bowlers apart from silencing the crowd.

Josh Inglis came to bat when Australia lost Matthew Short (13) in the 5th over. However, after that, he took Indian bowlers to cleaners and smashed them all over the park. The keeper-batter struck the ball cleanly and didn’t put a foot wrong. He made sure that his side didn’t get on the backfoot after losing the first wicket.

Josh Inglis dominated the Indian attack and brought up his half-century in just 29 balls. He added 131 runs in partnership with Steve Smith (54) and made sure that Australia went past 150 runs with ease. He made Indian bowlers look clueless with his staggering stroke play.

Josh Inglis brought up his maiden T20I century in just 47 balls. He didn’t look in great form in World Cup 2023 but made sure that he starts the series on high. The keeper-batter batted with a strike rate of over 220 and had also smashed 11 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. He ended with the knock of 110 runs off 50 balls and put his team in a dominating position.
