West Indies seeks to bounce back from recent test defeats against England and South Africa as they host Bangladesh in a two-match series starting November 22 at Antigua's Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The series which is also part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 presents a crucial opportunity for both teams to improve their standings.
The Caribbean side enters the contest after a disappointing 0-3 loss to England and a 0-1 loss to South Africa. The absence of veteran all-rounder Jason Holder sidelined with a shoulder injury adds to their challenges.
However, the Windies have bolstered their squad with in-form Justin Greaves who recently scored three centuries in the CG United Super50 Cup. Spin bowler Kevin Sinclair also returns to strengthen their bowling attack.
Bangladesh on the other hand despite their historic 2-0 Test series victory over Pakistan earlier this year, has struggled for consistency facing defeats against India and South Africa. Their last Test encounter with West Indies in June 2022 ended in a 2-0 loss.

Openers: Kraigg Brathwaite, Mikyle Louis
Kraigg Brathwaite and Mikyle Louis are looking set to be the openers in the West Indies Playing 11 for the forthcoming contest. Both the openers will be looking to capitalize on the starts as they have failed to do so earlier.
Brathwaite is averaging 21.4 in the last 10 matches having scored 428 runs while Louis will also be looking to improve on his performances.
Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Keacy Carty, Alick Athanaze, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Joshua Da Silva (WK)
The Windies middle-order lineup faces a fresh test against Bangladesh starting November 22, following their rocky performance in South Africa.
Keacy Carty got off to several good starts but couldn't turn them into big scores. Alick Athanaze had an even tougher time, barely getting runs on the board against South Africa's tight bowling. Justin Greaves would be buoyed by recent success in domestic cricket
Kavem Hodge showed some promise as an all-rounder and chipped in with both batting and bowling, but he'll need to step up his game in this series. Wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva fought hard from the lower order but often found himself stranded as his teammates got out.
These five players need to click as a unit against Bangladesh to give West Indies a fighting chance.

The Windies could field a strong bowling attack for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Jomel Warrican is likely to retain his spot as the lead spinner with his ability to exploit conditions expected to play a crucial role.
Alzarri Joseph, the spearhead of the pace attack is a certainty in the playing XI, given his knack for striking early with the new ball. Meanwhile, Shamar Joseph is likely to go strength from strength. The team management will hope these bowlers can deliver consistent performances against a disciplined Bangladeshi batting lineup
