England batter Jordan Cox admitted he was surprised after learning that someone had secretly photographed his private meeting with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) teammate Virat Kohli. The 25-year-old said the incident showed how difficult it is for Kohli to enjoy privacy, even during a quiet cafe visit in London.

The former India captain has been living in the United Kingdom (UK) since retiring from Test cricket. Kohli has repeatedly spoken about protecting the privacy of his children, Vamika and Akaay. The latest incident has once again highlighted the constant public attention surrounding his personal life.

Jordan Cox Opens Up on Virat Kohli Privacy Incident in London

Photos of Virat Kohli and Jordan Cox meeting at a cafe in London recently went viral on social media ahead of his Test debut against New Zealand at The Oval. The England batter admitted he was shocked that someone had secretly photographed him.

"The upsetting thing for him is that people are following him without him knowing. Hundreds of people walked past us, no one stopped, no one did anything. But then, about two hours later, he's texting me, going, 'Have you seen all these photos?' I was like, 'What the hell?'"

"It's just a shame how many people want a piece of him. He just wants to go under the radar, have fun and live a normal life. Unfortunately, that's not always possible."

He Always Wants to Help Others - Jordan Cox Praises Virat Kohli

Jordan Cox also praised Virat Kohli for the support he received during IPL 2026 at Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Cox said that Kohli spent plenty of time helping younger players despite being one of the game's biggest stars.

"The thing that I found the most special during the IPL is how much time he gave me as a player and, for someone who's achieved so much, how much he gives back generally. Some guys focus on their own game, but he is someone who always wants to help others before he helps himself. That is very rare."

Cox and Kohli shared the RCB dressing room during the IPL 2026 season. Kohli finished as RCB's highest run-scorer with 675 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 165.84. He also won the Player of the Match award in the final after scoring an unbeaten 75 to help RCB defeat the Gujarat Titans.

Virat Kohli Set for ODI Return Against England

Virat Kohli suffered a hamstring injury during the IPL 2026 final against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The injury forced him to miss India's ODI series against Afghanistan as he continued his recovery at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

After completing his rehabilitation and receiving fitness clearance, Kohli has recovered fully from the injury. The 37-year-old spent more than a month training in the United Kingdom to prepare for his return to international cricket.

Kohli is set to return when India face England in the three-match ODI series, starting on July 14. The matches will be played in Birmingham, Cardiff, and Lord's, giving India a chance to bounce back after disappointing T20I series against Ireland and England.
