Former India batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu believes that Virat Kohli is going to make a remarkable comeback in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Virat Kohli, who had an exceptional performance in IPL 2024, is not even close to the form he had in the flat pitches in India. In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies, Kohli has looked like a shadow of himself. He did score a few runs during the Indian team's opening Super 8 match against Afghanistan but that was still not enough for the standards he has set for himself.

Later tonight when India locks horns with Bangladesh in their second group-stage match, Virat Kohli will be aiming to get over his lean run of form. The 35-year-old will hope to carry on the momentum he picked up against Rashid Khan's Afghanistan on June 20th. If the Men in Blue are to win the competition for the first time since 2007, then Virat's form is very crucial.

Virat Kohli has always been a big match player and he loves to show up and deliver when it matters the most and when the odds are against him. No one should forget that Kohli has been the highest run-getter in the last two white-ball ICC events - the Cricket World Cup 2023 and the T20 World Cup 2022.

While this year he might not end up as the highest scorer he can surely deliver good performances in the knockout games going forward.

Navjot Singh Sidhu makes a prophecy about Virat Kohli

While speaking to Star Sports recently, Navjot Singh Sidhu had high praise for Virat Kohli for the kind of player he has been in his career. He majorly shed light on the dry patch that the batting stalwart is going through.

In his evergreen poetic way of speaking, Navjot Singh Sidhu spoke about his views on Virat Kohli being hurt to be not able to perform in the WC. As we all know, Kohli loves to perform and prove his worth in the big stages and he turns his best mode on during the World Cups.

But in this T20 WC, due to his poor form, Sidhu believes that Virat Kohli will be hurting deep down. The former opening batsman said that when someone like his stature is not able to demonstrate power, then they get hurt.

Navjot Singh Sidhu feels that Virat Kohli getting hurt deep down is a very good thing as people only learn from setbacks. Sidhu believes that Kohli is such a strong person mentally that he would rigorously practice in order to make sure he gets over the flaws.

"When a powerful man doesn't display his power, he gets hurt. And he should even feel the hurt. You learn from setbacks right? So I think that Virat Kohli is so strong mentally that he wants to get over his mistakes through rigorous practice. And practice makes a man perfect." - Navjot Singh Sidhu said via Star Sports.
