Who Are The Impact Players Nominated For LSG vs GT Match 26 Of IPL 2025?

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are taking on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday, April 12. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have revealed their 'Impact Players' for the high-octane match in the tournament.

It is the first match of Saturday's doubleheader. Gujarat Titans have had a good record against the Super Giants in the IPL. They have won four out of the five encounters between the two sides. However, Lucknow Super Giants secured their only victory over the Titans at this very venue last season.

We Are Going to Bowl First - Rishabh Pant

Lucknow Super Giants Captain Rishabh Pant expressed satisfaction with their recent form, having won the last two matches. Pant lauded the bowlers for their strong performances. He also confirmed one change to the lineup, with Mitchell Marsh being replaced by Himmat Singh.

"We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks good. We want to exploit the surface under the sun. I am happy with the team winning the previous two matches. As a team, we are talking about the process," Pant said.

"The team is responding well now. It is encouraging. Bowlers have done a really good job, we have to give credit to them as they have restrict the opposition when they have been put under pressure in the powerplay. Just one change. Mitchell Marsh is not playing. Himmat Singh comes in," he added.

Shubman Gill, captain of Gujarat Titans, said that he would have preferred to bowl first. He noted the advantage of knowing the target when chasing. Gill also praised the collective efforts of the team, including the coaching staff, for their positive contributions in the IPL 2025.

"I would've bowled first as well but I don't think the wicket is going to change much. We decided to bowl first because it's always good to have a target on the board and then chase it down," Gill said.

"Everyone is contributing in their way including the coaching staffs. Things are going really well for us. Not really. For us it's taking one game at a time. We don't think much about how many games we have won or lost in the past. It's all about coming on that day and performing for the day," he added.
