Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and India bowler Deepak Chahar proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj after the CSK v Punjab Kings (PBKS) match in Abu Dhabi in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) tournament in UAE.

Chahar has been in good form recently and was also named in the reserve players list in the Indian team’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 which will also take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman and will begin from October 17 onwards. India plays their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai and the tickets for the same have been sold out.

In a video shared by Deepak Chahar on his Instagram account and by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on their official Twitter account, Deepak Chahar went down on one knee and proposed to Jaya after the last league match of his team against Punjab Kings in the stands of Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Deepak walked to the stands immediately after the game concluded, to propose to his girlfriend, who was also present in the stands to watch the match. Chahar put a ring on his girlfriend’s finger and the couple was all smiles as they celebrated their engagement.

Who Is Deepak Chahar’s Girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj?

Deepak Chahar had his family cheering for him in the recent IPL 2021 encounter but there was a special lady who was donning a black dress and was even snapped by the IPL photographer. That lady turned out to be Chahar’s girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj. Jaya works in a corporate company in Delhi. She is also the sister of reality show MTV Splitsvilla Season 2 winner Siddharth Bharadwaj, who is not only a VJ but also a model.

Deepak Chahar posted the photos on his Instagram account with the caption reading, “Picture says it all ? ?? . Need all your blessings #taken.”

His sister Malti Chahar and younger cousin brother Rahul Chahar, who plays for Mumbai Indians and has also been named in the main Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2021, both congratulated the lucky pair on social media.

Chahar will hope the lady luck continues for him as CSK prepares for the first qualifier match in which they most likely take on Delhi Capitals on Sunday, October 10, 2021.
