Why Did Pakistan Cricket Team Take Everyone To Australia Except Their Team Doctor? Sensational Reason Revealed

The Pakistan national cricket team is currently touring Australia for a three-match test series with the first test to start on December 14 in Perth. However, the team is currently in Australia without a doctor as the official team doctor is yet to arrive in Australia and join the Men in Green.

Sohail Saleem, who was named as the official team doctor for the test series in Australia and the T20I series in New Zealand, has still not arrived in Australia. “The Pakistan Cricket Board is still trying to get a visa for Dr Saleem and as soon as it comes he will join the side in Australia in time for the first Test in Perth,” a reliable source in the PCB said.

The source also mentioned that former Test batsman, Shoaib Muhammad, who was appointed as manager of the Pakistan junior side taking part in the U-19 Asia Cup in UAE, has also his departure to UAE delayed with the squad.

Pakistan Is Set To Face Australia And New Zealand This Season

Off-spinner Sajid Khan, who is set to replace Abrar Ahmed in the Pakistan squad in Australia has also had some visa issues delay his departure. The source admitted that before naming the officials in any touring squad, the board should ensure that they arrive with the squad in time and these issues should be resolved beforehand.

Pakistan will face Australia in a three-match test series with the first test starting on December 14 in Perth. The two teams will then move to Melbourne for the Boxing Day test and then the final match of the series will be played in Sydney after the New Year celebrations. After the test series against Australia, Pakistan will travel to New Zealand for a five-match T20I series, the squad for the same is to be announced by the 25th of December as per chief selector Wahab Riaz.
