The WI vs ENG second ODI will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on December 6, Wednesday. West Indies are hosting England for a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series. The ODIs start from 7 pm IST which is 9.30 am local time.

England after a forgetful World Cup campaign, started the ODI series with a loss. Their bowlers could not defend 325 as Shai Hope’s unbeaten knock helped them clinch the first ODI by four wickets with six balls to spare.

England on the back of consistent middle-order contributions scored 325. Harry Brook who was earlier released by his IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad top-scored with 71. Skipper Jos Buttler continued his poor form with the bat and scored just three.

Alick Athanaze (66) gave a bright start to the West Indies in the chase. This was followed by Hopes’s unbeaten ton as he anchored the innings and Shimton Hetmyer (32) and Romario Shepherd (49 off 28) finished off the game with seven balls to spare.

West Indies thus started the series on a winning note and will aim for a series-clinching win in Antigua. The team is currently undergoing a transitional phase with Shai Hope as the ODI skipper of the Windies. Rovam Powell is the current T20I skipper of the side.
